London – 8 October 2026 – xyt, a leading independent provider of high-quality trade data and analytics, is pleased to announce its selection by Lynx Asset Management (“Lynx”), a Stockholm-headquartered systematic asset manager, as its provider of independent volume and liquidity analytics for global equities.
Founded in Stockholm in 1999, Lynx develops systematic investment strategies across global equities, fixed income, commodities and currencies, built on scientific methods and a strong data and technology foundation. As Lynx has continued to build out its systematic equities capabilities, the firm sought a more granular and consistent view of how liquidity actually forms across venues, trading mechanisms and the trading day, rather than relying on end-of-day or aggregated figures.
To meet this need, xyt is providing Lynx with equities analytics that apply xyt’s market-structure expertise to interpret and categorise trading activity across markets. This includes the appropriate treatment of trade condition codes and deferred transactions, the identification of retail flow, and the classification of addressable volumes across lit and dark venues, systematic internalisers and other trading mechanisms. By applying these classifications across markets, xyt provides Lynx with a consistent, high-resolution picture of intraday liquidity across its global equities universe.
“Understanding exactly where and when liquidity appears intraday is central to how we think about systematic equity strategies,” said Andreas Johansson, Co-Head of Systematic Equities at Lynx Asset Management. “xyt gives us a level of venue and time-of-day granularity across the addressable market that's difficult to source independently, and it's already sharpening how we model liquidity across our universe.”
Robin Mess, CEO at xyt, commented: “We're excited to welcome Lynx as a client. Sophisticated systematic investors need more than raw market data; they need to understand what trading activity actually represents and which liquidity is relevant to their strategies.” Mess added: “Combining market-structure expertise with consistent, high-resolution liquidity analytics across venues and trade categories globally is a core strength of our platform, and we look forward to supporting Lynx as its systematic equities franchise continues to grow.”
